Yahoo! Video On Demand Application for the MCE Platform - 2006

The Yahoo! Media Center VOD is Yahoo!’s first Digital Home Service for the TV on the Microsoft Media Center platform. The concept was to provide a personalized on demand video service, bringing together the MyYahoo! website preferences with streaming video content. The application allows users to view full-screen video across various content areas, create a personal video channel and access simultaneously their MyYahoo! sports, weather and stock information. The user interface is designed for a 10 foot TV remote control environment.

As the Director of User Experience, I led a small design team that designed and developed the application interface. I defined the overall user experience direction, directed the interaction and visual design development and oversaw the front-end flash implementation.
